Cakes & Joy

‘Oli’oli is a brand of homemade cakes baked with love and joy. The challenge was to come up with a name that somehow represented people, nature, the beach and Hawaii. People eat cakes at parties, celebrations or just when they feel like, usually with friends, family, loved ones or by themselves. Same as brunch! People have fun while they share food together.

Our strategy started with looking up terms, words and feelings that could somehow convey this message. And so the name ‘Oli’oli was born, which means “joy” in Hawaiian. Along with the name, a signature was also created to reinforce and emphasise the message – Cakes & Joy. The key visual is inspired on the beach/nature mood conveying the message of well-being, tranquility and, above all, good vibes and joy.
